The Georg Mohr Contest
The Georg Mohr Competition is a mathematics competition in Denmark aimed at students interested in mathematics in upper secondary education. It was founded in 1991.
The purpose of the Georg Mohr Competition is to stimulate interest in mathematics by challenging the most talented students with tasks that are more difficult than what they encounter in daily teaching.
In addition, the competition functions as part of the selection of participants for the International Mathematical Olympiad.
The Georg Mohr Competition takes place in two rounds. The first round is held in November, and the second round in January. The first round requires no registration and anyone can participate. With a good result in the first round, you qualify to participate in the second round.
Particularly talented students who are not yet in upper secondary school can also participate.
