Southeast Asian Mathematical OlympiadThe SEAMO (Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad) was established in 2016 and is now a highly influential mathematics event in the Asia-Pacific region. Every year, students from more than 20 countries and regions will participate this event. Since 1991, its founding team (Terry Chew Institute of Mathematical Olympiads) has developed a unique framework for mathematics education by studying the Mathematical Olympiad curricula in Singapore, the United States of America, Russia and other regions. The SEAMO syllabus is therefore not only based on the Singapore Mathematical Olympiad curriculum, but also incorporates elements from international mathematics education systems, aiming to comprehensively deep understanding of mathematical concepts, as well as to stimulate students’ creative and critical thinking in the problem solving process. The SEAMO X (Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad Extended Round) is consider as the international final of SEAMO. The Top 40% of Candidates in SEAMO will be registered in the Champions Division of SEAMO X. Candidates will be ranked by Grade Level against all international candidates.

Singapore & Asian Schools Math OlympiadCreated in 2006, SASMO is one of largest math contests in Asia. It has expanded from 155 local participants in 2006 to more than 20 000 participants from 19 countries in SASMO 2016. More than 100 schools from Singapore took part in SASMO 2016. The SASMO Team with the support of Advisory Council spend countless hours carefully developing contest papers which will touch on both school and Olympiad maths. This combined effort allow participants to do better compared to pure-Olympiad papers, since they are familiar with some questions and are able to put on their thinking caps for others, bringing out the inner mathematician in them. With realistic and high standards, SASMO contests aim to stretch the untapped thinking potential of the student population, their participation in SASMO will help them improve in school mathematics as well as higher order thinking skills (HOTS).

Singapore Math Kangaroo ContestMathematical Kangaroo (also known as International Mathematical Kangaroo and Kangourou sans frontières, the original French name) is an international mathematical competition with more than 70 countries. The key competence tested by the Kangaroo is logical combination, not just pure knowledge of formulas. Math Kangaroo contest content is like Singapore’s Mathematics Curriculum. Problems require creativity, logical thinking and challenge students to look at problems from a different perspective. The objectives of SMKC is to popularize mathematical enrichment activities among students and teachers in Singapore. And to allow students to achieve certification and recognition from an internationally prominent educational body. Students are then able to include the SMKC certificate in their portfolio to strengthen their application for top schools, universities and scholarships. It also exposes students to interesting math problems which are designed by internationally renowned math educators. Students can apply their knowledge in Mathematics that they learned in school in this competition.
